Productivity Hacks for Real Estate Agents

1. Make Time Valuable

Remember, time is the most valuable asset we all have. We all have 1440 minutes each day. Remind yourself, time is short, and you cannot go back to any wasted second.

2. Know-How You Roll

Know the main things that you need to get done to drive your business.

3. Break It Down

Break things down. Plan the steps to get a project done.

4. Know Your Roadblocks

Know where you're going to have problems in getting a project done and starting a new task. Learn how to build bridges to get over and through the issues.

5. Work is Never Done

We are never really done with our work. Hence, set time limits and decide to stop and focus on other priorities like family friendships to balance your life.

6. Write It Down

Keep a notebook you with you at all times to jot down ideas.

7. Apply the 80-20 Rule

20% of what you do brings 80% of the results.

8. Focus

Focus on the things that you do best that bring you the most results.

9. Have Work Themes

Adding variety on your work days can make you focus on a single theme for an entire day. Have a focus day where you focus on high productivity like sales and marketing; buffer days where you focus on meetings to build; or free days where you can read energize your battery.

10. Rest

Take breaks throughout the day. Be sure that you are breaking throughout the day so that your energy stays high. Some say people need a short break every hour. Do an activity like walking that will build your energy.

11. First Hour

The first hour of the day is your most productive. Remind yourself the early bird gets the worm.

12. Work the Plan

Work your calendar, not your to-do list. Things on your to-do list need to be put on a calendar in planned the appropriate amount of time to work on the task. To-do lists are endless tasks that you're never going to get done. Make a date with yourself to get the project done.

Most people find that the general work list does not work because:

  • They are so great that they can achieve things by looking at what they need to do.

  • They do not know how to prioritize list items.

  • They feel they are constantly adding to their list but do not reduce it.

  • There is a sense of confusion that detects home-based tasks involving work, etc.

Reasons Why You Should Write Things

  • When you write your ideas, you automatically focus your attention on them.

  • Write down the thoughts of the moment. If your memory is anything like this mine, it's like a leakage bucket.

  • Ideas do not last long.

  • Written goals are crucial.

  • To remind yourself what to do.

  • Reducing your mental RAM.
