How to Download Zipped Files on Your Computer [2022]

Remember, "zipped" files mean compressed folders. To get the files from these folders, you have to "extract" them.

Step 1. Get your zipped folder link and download it.

If you haven't downloaded your zipped file, download it from the online link you received in your email or elsewhere. For example, if you're getting the zipped folder through an online link sent to your email, click it. Then, click "Download." Just wait for it to download.

After downloading, check it in your "Downloads" folder. 

Step 2. Right-click your compressed folder and click "Extract All."

Although third-party apps like WinRAR and 7-zip can extract zipped files, you can use the most uncomplicated way without using them. The easiest way is to select your compressed folder, right-click the folder & click "Extract All."

Step 3. Click the "Extract" button upon seeing a prompt.

You will see this prompt that tells you where your files will be extracted. You may click the "Browse" button to change the destination file you like. If you want to choose the same path folder, just make sure it leads to the Downloads folder. 

Click the "Extract" button.

Now, your files have been extracted to the same location.
