About Marathon Village
Marathon Village is an affordable rental space in Nashville, Tennessee. It comprised of offices, shops & historical information inside a brick building. Moreover, it was a former auto factory built in 1881.
This space is historical, and this old-fashioned automobile factory has been changed into an artistic hub and center for commercial, performing, and visual arts.
Marathon Village History
It is a neighborhood that came out of the buildings that were used by Marathon Motor Works (1910-1914). It started in Jackson, Tennessee, in 1907. It was the first factory to manufacture automobiles in the southern area of the United States. The only one to do so till General Motors created the Saturn in 1990.

With the first purchase of his first building here in 1986, owner Barry Walker has fostered a thriving creative center. His design was to preserve the historical and architectural significance of each space while creating a space for:

Upon entering the lovely building, you’re quickly carried back in the days of American automotive culture's transformative days back in the early 20th century. This renovated warehouse highlights flashed wood beams, brick, and other rustic weaves providing a unique backdrop for your events.

Is it handicap accessible?
Everything in their village is handicap accessible except for their venue, Room With a View, which is on the third floor of building 1305. They are processing the installation of an elevator and hoping to complete it by 2019. The car museum is wheelchair accessible via the back door of building 1305.
Is there food?
YES! They have some places around the village for your hunger and thirst. They also have Bang Candy for your sweet tooth!
What is the parking situation?
There's no need to worry about it. They have many parking slots available around the village. You can also get some street parking for free if you're lucky. As long as you follow regular traffic and parking laws, you won't be towed. Otherwise, go to their paid lot and say Hi to Rafael. The cost is $10.00.
