FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

PORTRAITS FOR LOVE - A FREE PHOTOSHOOT IN HUNTSVILLE, ALABAMA

Hunstville, Alabama - This Sunday, September 29, 2019, there will be a free photoshoot event called PORTRAITS OF LOVE in Hunstville, Alabama. It will be held from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Village Of Promise, 2901 Fairbanks Street NW, Huntsville, AL 35816 (Regina Miller Location Sponsor). This project is to help people create memorable portraits for families who cannot afford professional portraits. More importantly, the event will be made possible through the help of volunteers. Many thanks to our volunteers, Sparkman High School Photography Club is also helping provide for photographers for this special event.

In addition, the PORTRAITS FOR LOVE team is encouraging photographers to let the subjects experience and do their photos. Being able to experience work behind the lens gives them a memorable and fun experience. This project is never about the people behind it or their skills; it’s always about connecting and giving back to the subject.

ABOUT PORTRAITS FOR LOVE

PORTRAITS FOR LOVE is a free photoshoot even created by Kenneth Purdom, a photographer based in Nashville, TN. The project aims to provide free portraits for individuals and families that cannot afford professional ones, regardless of the reason such as natural disasters or accidents. The goal is to help families around the world with portraits of their families and loved ones throughout the season, taken by the incredibly talented photographers within the industry. To date, one thousand (1000) portraits have been taken and sent to soldiers and their families. Thus, volunteers assemble to help families in need.

Moreover, PORTRAITS FOR LOVE has worked with local USO offices and other community non-profit organizations to help families for the project’s events. Some of the organizations we have worked with include the Park and Recreations Department (Columbia and Tennessee), No More Dirty Ministries, Life Care Centers of America, Habitat for Humanity (Franklin and Columbia), and USO Clarksville, Tennessee.
