In addition to being historically significant to the Trail of Tears, the park is now a regular destination for mountain bike and fishing enthusiasts. The area is spread between Knob Creek and the Duck River, making it a great place for pets to exercise during the summer.

Chickasaw Trace Park has two pavilions, one playground, one restroom, an RC flying field and RC car track, Duck River access, over 8 miles of mountain bike and hiking trails, and is home to the Derryberry Log Cabin that is also available for reservation.

Things people say about Chickasaw Trace Park

What a fantastic park in our community! I have been coming here every weekend or more since the start of this year and LOVE it! It is a blessing to so many to have a great trail system so close to where development is running rampant. I have told so many people about this park and now run into people I know enjoying it themselves! This place is going to get used from me for years to come I hope we are able to preserve its beauty for a very long time!

Chickasaw Trace is an excellent trail with a little something for everyone, maintained by local volunteers from the Columbia Cycling Club. The first few miles are beginner-intermediate, nice single track. The Trail of Tears gets tougher, and has a couple of climbs that may prove pretty challenging to you depending on your fitness level.
